This year's New Zealand Game Bird Habitat Collection, the 16th in the series acknowledging World Wetlands Day, features the New Zealand shoveler (Anas rhynchotis variegata). The 2009 Collection features a stamp, miniature sheet, first day cover, miniature sheet first day cover and a hand-numbered Limited Edition Artist Print. Each print includes two stamps, one of which is signed by the artist. Only 500 of the prints are available, and each is individually signed by the artist, Karen Baddock. Born in Dunedin, Karen grew up drawing and painting in the natural surroundings of her family farm.
