On 1 May, Shanghai will welcome the world to this six-month event, which promises to be the biggest Expo the world has ever seen. More than 190 countries and 50 international organisations are expected to attend, along with almost 100 foreign leaders. Of course New Zealand will be there - interpreting the Expo's theme of 'Better City, Better Life' with a pavilion dedicated to the concept of 'Cities of Nature, Living between Land and Sky'. It sounds fantastic, so if you're offered a chance to go and see it for yourself, I suggest you grab it! We're marking our nation's participation in the Expo with some very special stamp products that capture the remarkable similarities between the New Zealand and Chinese cultures. The Ancient Reptiles of New Zealand stamp and coin issue explores the behaviour and habitats of this exceptional group of animals, as if an explorer has travelled back in time and observed them directly.
