Dear Kakashka
July 2010

The excitement is building!

"Go the All Blacks!" It's a cry that echoes through stadiums, pubs and living rooms nationwide as our national team takes on the world's best in our national game.

You can show your support for the All Blacks by ordering our special commemorative stamps. The stamps feature the All Blacks logo which depicts the silver fern - one of New Zealand's most well known and established emblems, and an integral part of the All Blacks' heritage. Over time, the fern on the black jersey has come to represent decades of excellence; a symbol worn by a select few to represent our nation at home and abroad.

Building up to arguably the biggest year in New Zealand rugby history, New Zealand Post will be releasing a number of official All Blacks stamp and coin products. These reflect our nation's culture, sporting excellence and determination to win.

Take a look on the website to see the superb range of All Blacks stamps currently on offer. Among them is a special Presentation Pack that includes a miniature sheet, miniature sheet first day cover and a sheet of 10 60c stamps. It outlines the historical context of the silver fern and the All Blacks, and is a great collectable for rugby fans of any age!

Experience the beauty

You can catch a glimpse of New Zealand's beautiful scenery through our Scenic Definitive stamps, with the range newly extended to include five of the country's favourite visitor destinations: Mitre Peak, Queenstown, Lake Rotorua, Kaikoura and Christchurch.

Available all year round, New Zealand's range of Definitive stamps showcase landscapes, natural wonders and icons from throughout the country. Both the Definitive and All Blacks issues reflect the recently announced increase in required postage, which means these stamps are a 'must' to complete any collection.

I hope you'll join us in celebrating these two issues - featuring topics for which New Zealand is internationally renowned - by placing your order today!

Yours sincerely

All Blacks

all blacks stamps

For more than 100 years, the image of a silver fern on a black background has meant just one thing: the All Blacks. Much more than a symbol of our national rugby team, it's a powerful international brand that represents the epitome of sporting excellence: physical dexterity, rugged determination, and an uncompromising commitment to the principles of fair play.

New Zealand Post is proud to present a suite of collectable products created in honour of what will arguably be the biggest year in New Zealand rugby history. With an unrivalled winning percentage since the first test against Australia in 1903, the All Blacks will carry the hopes and expectations of more than four million New Zealanders onto the field. These handsome coins are the second in a three-year series that presents New Zealand's most loved bird, the kiwi, together with another distinctly 'New Zealand' icon. In 2010 the kiwi has been paired with the Southern Cross - our official emblem and one of the smallest constellations known.
